In this assignment we were tasked to gather data from a survey and then represent that data visually. I decided to make my survery on the types of music people like out of curiosity. I asked two questions with multiple choices for them to chose from. Firstly, I asked what their favorite genre of music was, then I asked what decade of music was their favorite. With two seperate sets of data I felt that a pie chart would be the most approipiate way to display this information in a way that is visually appealing. To do this I utilized Adobe Illustrator's graphing tool. I was faced with some difficulties trying to change the colors of the graph but I was eventually able to overcome them. I then found some stock clip I felt was appropiate to the topic at hand, went into photoshop to crop them, then added them into Illustrator. I decided to write out the number of responses to each answer next to their box, along with their percent value in their corresponding part of the graph. I felt this would make it much easier for the viewers to observe and retain the information given to them. I went with very vibrant, relaxing colors in order to not present the graphs as just numbers and data, instead give it a fun, artistic feel.
